Our work with Outdoor Afro, a non-profit organization connecting Black people with nature, involved a complete overhaul of their digital presence to better support their mission. Here’s a breakdown of our contributions:

Website Migration and Revamp

  • Improved User Experience: Spearheaded the migration and redesign of outdoorafro.org, focusing on user experience (UX) and intuitive navigation. This resulted in a significant increase in clickthrough rates and user engagement with key organizational programs and intake forms.
  • Enhanced Design and Functionality: The website revamp included modernizing the design, optimizing for mobile responsiveness, and improving site performance. We also implemented clear calls to action and streamlined pathways for users to learn about and participate in Outdoor Afro’s programs.

Streamlined Content Management

  • Standardized Templates: We created standardized landing page templates and defined asset specifications to empower the communications team to efficiently deploy new content while maintaining design consistency across the website.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Integrated Analytics and CRM: To enable data-driven decision-making, we integrated Google Analytics and the organization’s CRM system within the website’s backend. This provided the team with straightforward access to full-funnel engagement metrics for reporting and optimization.
